Happy New Year!!! Hello for 2016 and the land of relaxing January!!! We’re in a pool of sweat of course but that’s how we roll in the Aussie Summer. We just had a thunderstorm and the cool rain was so divine – I was tempted to find my old Belinda Carlisle CD and crank up her Summer Rain number… but I opted for a wine instead! #irandomlywonthatcdinthe80s #cd???bahahahahaha

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas break and loving the school holidays. We were straight into swimming lessons just after Christmas so it’s been go go go! I promised my boys a special treat – something I’ve saved for a while now. Fat Mum Slim’s Fun Kits 1 and 2!! Santa gave the boys cameras for Christmas so it’s been fun watching them discover the joy of photography. I know their Great Grandpa George (from above) would be bursting with pride watching them too ๐Ÿ˜‰

So our photo’s this month are all about those AMAZING fun kits. We all had such a great laugh creating together which was a refreshing change from watching dvds and building lego. I’ve a feeling we’ll be creating some more little props in the future. It was so cute watching them come up with ideas where and how to take the photos. We’ve picked our favourite 10 as part of the Photography Circle 10 on 10. Be sure to check out myย friend Cathy’s photo’s! Her photo’s will have you at hello for sure! She lives in such a pretty part of the world.ย Click on the link in each post til you’re back to me. Have fun!

You had us at HELLO

Thanks Jen, it’s nice to know photography is enjoyed through the generations. My Grandpa George was right into it. It’s all so different now with digital cameras but the eye for getting the perfect shot still lives on ๐Ÿ˜‰ xx

How great that the boys got such fun from both the camera and the fun kit! Love the 2nd last photo – you can seek the intense look on your kiddos face. Happy New Year! x

Thanks Di – I love that photo too. They were so into it for hours. Great way to get them outside as many days were inside due to the intense heat. Santa did good xx

Oh how cute are your boys with their cameras! Santa was so smart this year! I love that shot of them at the table – look at the concentration on their face but the bear and the big banana thing is my fave! What a shot! Your boys take after you, they got skillz!

    • Reply Jo January 18, 2016 at 2:34 pm

They’re crazy like their Mum that’s for sure. That banana is actually a swing seat. We were busting to get the shot as it started to pour with rain. They were lying underneath the swing holding the teddy upright! haha! Prop shots next time xx

What great Christmas presents the boys got. And such a great idea to foster their interest in photography! Those sparklers would have been fun for sure. Awesome photos Jo! x

Thanks Steph! Santa did really well this year ๐Ÿ™‚ They also got a little photo album so we’ll have to print some of their favourites off and create some memories for them. Lucky there’s limited amount of photo space on these cameras or it would take forever!! Sparklers are always fun – lucky we chose a rainy day to do it! xx

Great fun! Chantelle’s fun kits are such a clever idea. Looks like your boys are really enjoying themselves. Fab work Jo! x

Thanks Ellen! I think it was the Olympus Luncheon that really kicked the joy of photography off to begin with. It’s cute watching them come up with different angles to work with with. Chantelle sure is onto it! Spreading the joy of photography at such a young age is so much fun ๐Ÿ™‚ xx

Oh Max will love it! It’s so funny watching the boys show their shots together. Molly has stared in many shots along with some unflattering shots of Mummy restingfolding the washing! hahaha! Let us know when you’re back in LG. The boys miss M & L xx
