We’re back!! After last months fun of sharing our pictures in the Clever Cookie Photography Circle, I definately had a plan up my sleeve to do some arty shots for this months share. We held a family busy bee over the Easter weekend, to get the kids swing set up. I had planned a nearby location for drinks and nibbles later in the evening to take some awesome sunset pictures. I had the location sussed, I knew the time I had to be there to get the perfect pictures……then the whole family arrives, it’s suddenly chaos, one of the kids ends up in emergency and those glorious plans disappear, just like that! So I got some action type before and after shots of our backyard in between all the chaos. I think I missed a whole night sleep caring for my sick little man hence there are very few shots with me in. I was a walking zombie!! But I think you’ll all agree it was worth it. It’s not a complete finish with lawn and garden installed too but life is not as fast as The Block – sad but very true!

This time I mostly used my Panasonic Lumix G2 camera. It takes better pictures but I’m guessing one needs to read the instructions and practice before one becomes a champion photographer. Haha! But you know me, love to tell a story so enjoy!

Before - I have no idea why so much crap and corruption is sitting in the garden.

Hope you enjoyed our little backyard blitz. We have quite a bit to do to get it just right but that’s all part of the fun! Can’t wait to get the grass layed, it will look so good. Be sure to jump on the photo circle loop and check out my French friend Cathy from Peregrination Gourmande’s beautiful photos. Give some love in the comments and follow the circle back to me. It truly is like peering into to each of our lives. Have fun!

Oh the joy on your little mans face on that swing! I love that pic. And the sunset, wow!
Great pics lovely, can’t wait to see the rest of your blitz! Xx

Thanks Shan, that’s my favourite too. That kid sure loves the swing. I tried to teach him how to swing himself but stuffed up some how and he swung right into face and knocked me over, haha! I think I have to wait til after seeding for more blitzing, fingers crossed we can do it before though. Seeding starts May/June.

What a day! I’m so pleased you little man is better. That swing set certainly put a smile on his dial. You live in such a beautiful part of the world, those views! And I heart that family shot so hard, matching T-shirts and all! Looks like you had an eggciting Easter xx

    • Reply Jo April 10, 2015 at 5:33 pm

It was an eggcellent weekend indeed! Just after that photo the boys went inside with Daddy to do some Easter colouring ins, while we set up an Easter egg hunt outside. While that was happening we got a phone call to look over the fence and we saw the Easter Bunny running along past the shearing sheds. It was so funny! The boys were screaming out “Thank you Easter Bunny for all our presents!” Poor old Uncle Dan missed him too. Haha! 😉

What an amazing swing set. The joy on your little kiddos face is just beautiful. And I *heart* family photos…especially with matching t-shirts. So great you could all celebrate this moment together.

Whats even more amazing Di is Mum got this for a steal! Was half price at $450. Mum put it on layby then they must of accidentally sold it. So they gave Mum vouchers as compensation, then they rang her to say we found another, it’s yours, so with vouchers included the swing only cost $200!!! Yippidy doodar!!! Awesome hey! Thanks for the love xx

Thanks Veronica, the sunsets this time of year are magic. Hoping next year we can relax in a completed garden with outdoor furniture to soak it up 🙂 There was plans to put a pool in the swing spoy once the kids grow out of the swing set but I cant imagine they will, its pretty cool 🙂 xx

I’ve been asking Farmer for a cubby for the longest time, they just love it. Plans of closing it in now an adding an ipad on the wall to watch movies (aka small mans den) haha! Thanks Steph xx

Jo!! That sunset almost stopped my heart! Breathtaking. And the family t-shirt thing! Are you kidding me! I LOVE this idea!!! The sky around your parts during the day is pretty amazing too. Sick kids suck. I am so sorry you had that scare. Hugely stresses me out when one of my babes is sick. Loved seeing your photos xo

Pretty in Pink hey! I’ll have to get some sunset shots for next month. The t-shirts were made from the family reunion we had. Uber cool 🙂 ER visits are never fun but lucky the wait was only an hour. Thanks lovely Jen xx

Oh wowsers that swing set is insane! Your boys must be in heaven with that beast!! Glad to hear your little man is feeling better xxx

    • Reply Jo April 10, 2015 at 8:57 pm

Thanks Lauren, he’s getting better. It must be the end of the virus. We rushed to the ER at the bigger country hospital 1.5hrs away after the high temps as he had a rash all over him. Freaked us out a bit, but he’s all vaxed up so it was weird how had got it. Just a virus so alls well. I wanna play in there too, just a bit too tall lol!! xx

Oh wow! that sunset!!! How gorgeous is the pink. I am so sorry your little guy was so unwell hun but I am glad he is back and smiling again. Have a wonderful weekend chick xx

    • Reply Jo April 10, 2015 at 8:47 pm

It gets a bit scary when the kids get sick hey. Those high temps – Woh! The pink sunsets are divine, the view makes up for no coastal views (just). You have a beautiful weekend too Sonia xx

That sunset – I have no words! Love the swing set and in particular that family photo – very cute in your matching t-shirts. So happy to hear your little man is better too. And don’t believe what you see on TV Jo – my Handy Hubby hates all renovation shows! He says they have given people a false idea of how long a renovation actually takes. A client once asked him why he couldn’t fully demolish and renovate their bathroom in two days just like they’d seen it done on TV!

    • Reply Jo April 11, 2015 at 11:02 am

Little man was sick again last night 🙁 Really hoping it’s all passing by now. Poor kid. He seems happy enough tho – especially on that swing! I bet your husband gets annoyed. And you’ve got to wonder what quality these jobs have in such a rushed high pressure amount of time. I think Scotty Cam needs to do show to address this. What to really expect from a Tradie!! I’m pretty sure they go thru those block apartments with a fine tooth comb before they sell for those prices – you’d wanna hope so to!! xx

Lovely shots! Your little boy’s smile is adorable. Glad he is himself again. There is nothing like sturdy outdoor play equipment that will last forever. All the hard work definitely pays off x

    • Reply Jo April 12, 2015 at 10:14 am

Little man has a cheeky grin alright. He has since passed on his bug to big bro and his Daddy! I’m pooped playing nurse and lack of sleep!! The boys play on the swings everyday, best investment ever! Thanks for stopping by Karen xx

    • Reply Jo April 12, 2015 at 10:18 am

Thanks Fleur! I’ll have to do a monthly 10/10 for the backyard blitz. The rain has slowed things down a bit. Fingers crossed we get more done before seeding starts (Farmer works flat out long hours for 4-5 weeks). xx

    • Reply Jo April 15, 2015 at 7:47 pm

Thanks Lisa. My mum thinks she’s pretty clever with the bargain price we got! Champion effort if I do say. The family shot wasn’t planned it was a run and smile for the camera shot. Gotta love those 🙂
