Do you love taking photos?Β I do! I’ve always had a camera for as long as I can remember. I was always taking happy snaps with my rectangular kodak instant camera as a kid in the 80’s and 90’s. Super cool! I’m incredibly grateful camera phones weren’t around in my wild younger days but on the flip-side I love the handiness of them today, capturing all those moments with the kids. Β So in efforts to step up my photography skills and just for something fun, I’ve joined a great bunch of bloggy mates in the Clever Cookie Photography Circle.

Each month we share 10 photos of a day in our life and then link to another Clever Cookie in the group, so we have a circle of posts that will eventually lead back to me. You get the chance to discover some amazing blogs along the way too. Niiiiiiiiiice!

I’ve picked a random day in my week on the farm so I hope you enjoy peering in! I’ve used my iPhone as it’s pretty much always with me unless I smash it like I did just recently!

So there you have it! There was no wine that night either, a kodak moment in itself! haha! Now, jump on the loop and check out my French friend (doesn’t that sound cute!) Cathy’s post from her blog Peregrination Gourmande, give her some love and continue the circle until you’re back to me! Have fun!

What a great representation of your day Jo. Love your sunset shot. I’ve never been grape picking. They look divine. So plump and juicy!

    • Reply Jo March 10, 2015 at 12:37 am

Thanks Di! It was my first time grape picking and it had just rained the night before so the weather was lovely! I can see why backpackers love that work – lots of fun πŸ™‚

Hello my friend – how I loved seeing where you live! Grape picking, hmmm, was there some grape throwing by any chance, that’s how I imagine it ends up….. πŸ˜‰

    • Reply Jo March 10, 2015 at 3:38 am

Hey Shan. There was a few cheeky kids throwing grapes but otherwise lots of town gossiping among the grapevines. I can’t keep up with that stuff! I hummed to myself for a little while then I thought, buggar this, I’m off to hang with all those laughing, and had a ball πŸ™‚ We got a nice bacon and egg toastie whilst picking and morning tea once we finished. Now you can see why I love where you live too – a refreshing change of scenery πŸ˜‰

Oh that sunset Jo! And all the lovely red earth and space. Community grape pick looks like fun. Fab photos πŸ™‚

Thanks Ellen. Think I’m definately the rookie of our little group! Must get out and practice some more. The grape pick was lots of fun. It raised money for the local school P&C πŸ™‚

Great set of photos Jo! I love recording random days, they’ll be such great memories one day. I’m loving that shot of the clouds through the clothesline, awesome!

    • Reply Jo March 10, 2015 at 3:32 am

Hi Lisa, thank you! I like that photo too. I actually enjoy pegging out the clothes. My mind wonders sooo much it’s crazy! Solving all of life’s problems of course πŸ™‚

Community grape picking sounds so awesome. Lucky ducks. x

It was pretty cool! Bonus being, both vineyards (where I live) belong to friends. One friend in particular has very nice wine so any help they need in the future I have mentioned I’m happy to help by payment of wine πŸ™‚ xx

Love your pics Jo! The peg on the clothesline one is awesome, so Oz!
Thanks for the little glimpse into your world. Look forward to next months 10 on 10! Xx

Thanks Shannon! I loved your Dave Grohl one – isn’t he the coolest!! Just as well there’s no video camera where my washing line is as it gets sooo windy somedays it would be hillarious to watch. It’s like I’m battling a blizzard of wind, haha! Thinking hats on for next month xx

Those grapes look delicious and that sunset – wow! A great album of your day x

    • Reply Jo March 10, 2015 at 3:19 pm

Thanks Karen! It was quite a day with the early grape pick. Looking at all your lovely photos in the circle I need to practice my technique. Maybe read the instructions on my camera, and step away from the iphone! Fun to document your day though hey? xx

Very cool Jo! Love that sunset. I’d love to book a plane ticket to WA just for that! x

Thanks Jo for your lovely presentation of me. That’s so kind! I love having a peek at your farm life, i’m quite intrigued as your daily life seems so different than mine. You are spending a lot of time outside, I love that! My fav picture is the one with the #laundrywithaview it’s beautiful and so real.
    xx cathy

You are so welcome Cathy! Our lives are so crazy different aren’t they? I just loved all your photos. It does get ghastly hot here but it’s started to cool down thank goodness. The #laundrywithaview is my favourite too. That look will change soon as it gets greener πŸ™‚ xx

  • Reply Lauren @ The Thud March 10, 2015 at 11:05 am

OMG your home looks beautiful! I think I wouldn’t mind hanging out the washing if that’s what I was looking at while I did it

    • Reply Jo March 10, 2015 at 3:14 pm

Thanks Lauren! I have the prettiest house too, a bit spoilt! I wont put house photos up til we’ve done a few more renovations. Fingers crossed for a Backyard Easter Blitz. Hope to put up the kids Christmas Swing set – lol! They still don’t know it’s coming so we shall nut it out with a few drinks with my little bros. Welcome for tea and cakes anytime – actually who am I kidding, wine collection is coming along nicely πŸ™‚ x

Jo, when did you get a dog? Love the pics. Cant wait to see the next lot. We sure do live in a beautiful part of the country. πŸ™‚ I should take more pics instead of just taking pics of the kids. Love your work

    • Reply Jo March 10, 2015 at 3:10 pm

Aw Thanks Mrs Nenke that takes us to the “book club” – keep explaining that’s the library πŸ™‚ Haha! We adopted Kipper from Nadene. She’s fitted in well – boys just adore her, she’s 10 next month. We do live in a pretty place – I do wish the beach was down the road but! Perhaps a pool instead…a cheat one from Kmart? haha!

  • Reply Tash @ Gift Grapevine March 10, 2015 at 3:11 pm

Love your pics Jo – you have some stunning views on the farm. That community grape pick looks like a lot of fun but those kids look way too perky for that time of morning πŸ™‚ You are creating some wonderful memories for them!

    • Reply Jo March 11, 2015 at 2:22 pm

Thanks Tash! It is quite unique we get to do a grape pick. The kids were pretty hyper at that time in the morning. My husband put our little one on the bus then the next stop was all these kids next door. Will bring my boys next year if they can handle getting up that early. Cranky 3 year old wont be impressed!

I could look at your garden all day Lauren! Haha! Thanks so much, give it a few months and a bit of rain and it will be green again xx

What a great set of photos! I love that fat puppy belly…makes me want to give it a pat! And I realy like that photo of the clothes line. There is truly beauty in our every day.

    • Reply Jo March 11, 2015 at 2:17 pm

Oh Jen you sound like American Beauty – god I love that movie! It is so true. Perhaps we need to do a reality themed set of photos – dirty dishes, mt of washing that is looking at me, unmade bed etc etc – haha! Kipper sure has that fat belly going on – she eats EVERYTHING, like everything! It’s pretty gross!

Loved watching your day unfold in the pics, Jo. What a great place you live in! Divine. Looks like you guys lead a wholesome, relaxed lifestyle. Oh, and nice touch on the pineapple pillowcase. Ha ha. Looks like pineapples are all the rage – I’m seeing them pop up everywhere. Prickly little sweeties! Ha ha xo

    • Reply Jo March 13, 2015 at 6:18 am

Thanks Diana! It’s not always relaxed, living on a farm is like a roller-coaster I reckon, somedays are like my pictures and other days you hold on tight, shut your eyes and scream – haha! All good fun. You like the pineapples? I’m an I love linen addict!xx
