Here I am!! I disappeared there for a week. Last week was crazy town!! I bet it was for you too. This week seems like holiday mode already. The street I look out onto from my office window, looks like a ghost town already?!! Everyone must of racked off to holiday already hey. Nice one 🙂
How’s your Christmas shopping going? I finished mine last week luckily. A strange feeling of I’M DONE!?! came over me whilst carrying too many bags to my car parked miles away. Now it’s time to wrap them up. I usually LOVE doing this but I’ve turned into a Nanna lately and go to bed just after I put the boys to bed. BUT… do you know what’s on teli tonight? LOVE ACTUALLY!! AW! There’s not too many movies you can watch a million times and love it everytime – and cry! So tonight’s the night.
Have you got your tree up yet? I haven’t! Is that bad? I hope to tomorrow or sometime this week. We have a small blowup tree from Tesco with an elf sitting next to it and a Lego advent calendar so haven’t gone complete Grinch this year. There’s still time. My boys are too busy playing Lego to notice it’s not up yet – haha!
So let me tell you all about our AAA Winners!! Thank you everyone soooo so much for sharing your wonderful awesome service stories. It fills me up Buttercup to hear there really is amazing service out there. Now, drumroll please……… the winner of the $100 Birdsnest voucher is…. Sam!! Sam is a loyal YHUAH awesome service discoverer, but this time she nailed it!! Or should I say Harriet from The Boathouse – Balmoral Beach nailed it.
Sam recently had some overseas visitors and one accidently dropped her glasses which fell into the sand and sea below. A lovely waitress named Harriet not only accompanied Sam under the boardwalk, but she went into the waves to rescue the glasses, soaking her shoes and socks in the process, doing it all with a smile!
What an absolute darling! Sam and her visitors were ever so grateful as they were prescription glasses. How lucky were they? And how impressive is Harriet’s eyes to find them? Congrats on such an amazing story – Farmer loved it so much he promises to take me there next time we’re in Sydney. It looks sublime!! A movie voucher of thanks will be sent to Harriet and Sam will soon be sporting a Birdsnest outfit of her own! Squeeeeee! Well done lovely 🙂
Yay!!! Thank you all for reading and commenting on the blog this year! It’s sure been a learning curve this year becoming a working mummy! Gone are the days of blogging til midnight like the old days. And if I do it’s with one eye open I’m so knackered. I have no idea which direction the blog is heading next year – we’ll just have to wait and see. I just know it makes me happy – not a Pharrel kinda happy – more like a James Corden new carpool kinda happy!! Or a Jimmy Fallon fits of giggles kinda happy!
I’m going to have a Blogvaction and spend some time chillin these next few weeks. Read a book, go to the beach, declutter – I’m a mad woman come January 1st!! – but best of all relax with my boys. Be soooo good to see Farmer, he’s still harvesting but hoping we’ll get to the finish line soon enough. Enjoy your festive season gorgeous ones. Travel safe, keep that sun cream on and always stock up on soda water – it’s your secret “I don’t do hangovers” weapon. Much love to you and yours
