AAA Meeting – March Winners

Hey gorgeous ones!! How the heck are you?! Welcome to our AAA meeting. Sending big hugs, it feels ages since we’ve sat down and had a proper meeting talking all things awesome service. We’ve grown a little on Facebook so a big hello and welcome to new readers, so glad you’re here 🙂 I do apologise I’m a tad slack with the regular posts but working 5 days a week leaves little time to hang in blog land. It really does. This ol night owl now heads to bed around 10pm and gets excited if it’s earlier. I know?!! Who am I? Speaking of who am I?! I’ve cut myself of sugar, alcohol, dairy and caffeine this last week. I also went to the most amazing workshop – all about customer service and sales – but when you’re breaking up with all these things one tends to nod of in a classroom situation. Eek! But not for long! What was even more amazing was the workshop teachers came to my workplace and helped me map out new ideas on where to improve. It was almost like a Gordon Ramsay kind of makeover without all the swearing and no sign of […]

Taking Stock – February 2017

If I get this post out it’ll be a miracle!! School bus due in seconds, yet to have any tea or coffee wake up…I’m a scatterbrain but everything is organised – tickets, don’t forget those!! – as I’m seeing Adele TONIGHT!! So excited!! Although parking and finding mum in a crowd of 65 thousand people does have me a little anxious. Shit! Expect the worse, expect the worse, breathe!! I’m sure after the 3.5hr drive I’ll find my zen – trust me! LOL! Making : Plans for quick Perth escape tonight. Boys are having a sleepover with the grandparents. Cooking : Last night was Vietnamese Lettuce Cups the uber cookbook Merrymaker Sisters. They’re a little messy to eat but geez we love em! Drinking : Pints of water, pints of soda water, earl grey tea and a few Margaritas last week! Reading : Well after Amy Schumer cancelled her tour – boo! I stopped reading that book. I currently have 5 books to read. Just about finished Confessions of a Qantas Flight Attendant. I’d have to say I was expecting more goss and OMG stories but not really. It’s taken me forever to read as it’s not grabbed me. If anything it makes me […]

AAA Meeting, Brands I love

Customer Service Hall of Fame – FRANKiE4 Footwear (plus a giveaway!)

Welcome to the Hall of Fame series to our AAA Meetings! It’s where we take a moment to take a closer look at favourite businesses out there that are killing it when it comes to happy customers and amazing service. Now it’s no secret I adore Australian label FRANKiE4 Footwear – I live in these babies and you’ll often see a picture of me loving them on Instagram or Facebook. I fell in love with these guys a few years ago, while swooning at fashion blogger pics. Then in December 2015 I was lucky enough to become a FRANKiE4 style influencer! Yep! Little ol me! It was game, set and match from there on! Talk about had me at hello!! Since then I’ve been banging the drum how awesome they are. Life goals for 2017 is to grow my FRANKiE4 wardrobe… check out all that love right there!! Having such a diverse range of designs means my feet are pretty much spoilt for all occassions – work, play and even fancy. All the while the design is aimed to alleviate and prevent heel and arch pain along with many other common foot complaints. I swear, if ever there’s a day I don’t wear […]

Everything else, Memories

What’s your idea of romance?

Happy Valentines Day! Gawd that sounds so cheesy but it happens only once a year so surely it can’t be that bad!? But so many people roll their eyes and mutter it’s not something they celebrate. It seems a little forced to tell the one you love just how much you love them on a hallmark kind of day yet many moons ago I wished like hell I’d be lucky enough to receive a card full of all the words I wanted to hear…except when it’s someone you’re completely not attracted to! via GIPHY That’s a bit of a clanger right there really. It takes so much courage as it is to admit to someone you fancy them but if it’s not returned well that’s all kind of awks. Let me take you back to circa 1993 (shit really?!!) I was fresh outta high school and still too shit scared to talk to boys. I was still in the land of major crushes and had one on a guy in my class – let’s call him *Bob. *Bob was tall and gangly, flicked his hair a lot (omergawd) and had an earring. He was into Midnight Oil a lot and suddenly so […]

Hooray! Back to school week is here!

Aren’t you just loving all the cute photos of everyone’s school kids lately? Kids look so much younger than we ever were or have I just forgotten I was actually that little too!? Tomorrow both my little darlings start full time school – Pre-Primary and Grade 1. I honestly thought I’d be kicking my heels but I’m actually nervous and anxious they’re growing up so freakin fast! My baby is not so baby anymore. Sniff! sniff! Mummy might need a G&T later, see how we go. Normality is seeping back with all the usual crap on TV. I watched a tiny bit of MKR and ugh!! How can we possibly be up to another season??!! It’s so scripted. Guess who accepted the nasty bastard role. The whole of Australia doesn’t like this bloke now and we all know he’s going to fall on his arse when it’s his time to cook! Common TV land, give us something outstanding to watch then make it stop and have us all hanging. Or… I could just go to bed early and read a book hey. That sounds like a better idea. I think I’d lose my voice watching Married at First Sight from […]

Can we keep on Summer holidaying?

Hey Hey!! How you doin? Time to get back in the saddle! Slowly does it… Many of you have kids going back to school this week, we’ve got that happening on Feb 1st so still a little time to chill. I totally LOVED having two weeks off over Christmas and New Year and then some. I hope you got the chance to relax too. I finally got the chance to binge watch OITNB – wow that’s addictive!! Sadly Farmer finished harvest the week I went back to work but that’s all good. We’re just glad he’s finally finished and we get to see him more often – yay! I’m totally loving the cruisy fresh vibe the start of a new year brings. Rewind back to the lead up to Christmas and oh my word!! I thought I was going to split into two life was so busy. Making new plans, chilling by the pool with ya mates during swimming lessons, hens and buck weekend getaways, weddings… seriously, can we keep on this Summer holiday vibe? It’s so much fuuuun! It kinda freaks me out school is just 8 days away but having said that, routine in the house is a […]

AAA Winners & Christmas Holidays

Here I am!! I disappeared there for a week. Last week was crazy town!! I bet it was for you too. This week seems like holiday mode already. The street I look out onto from my office window, looks like a ghost town already?!! Everyone must of racked off to holiday already hey. Nice one 🙂 How’s your Christmas shopping going? I finished mine last week luckily. A strange feeling of I’M DONE!?! came over me whilst carrying too many bags to my car parked miles away. Now it’s time to wrap them up. I usually LOVE doing this but I’ve turned into a Nanna lately and go to bed just after I put the boys to bed. BUT… do you know what’s on teli tonight? LOVE ACTUALLY!! AW! There’s not too many movies you can watch a million times and love it everytime – and cry! So tonight’s the night. Have you got your tree up yet? I haven’t! Is that bad? I hope to tomorrow or sometime this week. We have a small blowup tree from Tesco with an elf sitting next to it and a Lego advent calendar so haven’t gone complete Grinch this year. There’s still time. My […]

Remember that one time…

Oh wow! We’re all saying it – It’s that time of year! There’s so many things on, we’re double booking ourselves and running around exhausted!! Going to bed late and up again early, gone are my plans of going to bed at 9pm, don’t be silly!! So in these crazy festive flat out periods I’m going to do what the likes of some favourite TV shows do. Favourites like Family Ties and Friends every now and then would do a Remember when… type episode that was a few flashbacks of past shows with the cast looking back on a memory. Like Friends -The One Where They All Turn Thirty or in Family Ties when Jen had tonsillectomy. Remember those classics? Well I’m joining in too 🙂 Last year I shared a series of Christmas questions to some dear bloggy mates and jeez it was fun! So if you missed it here’s your chance to check it out. You beauty! We’ll head down memory road again next week as it’s the last week of school, the week of the adorable school concert. Can’t wait! My two cheekies have practiced their part very quietly so it’s a surprize when we see it on the […]

Taking Stock – November 2016

Guess who got Adele tickets?!! SHUT UP!! I know! It’s pretty amazing really as I left it up to Farmer to get them. He’s never bought tickets like that before so there was a lot of pressure. Plus the Ticketek site crashed just an hour before. Pretty impressive Farmer – brownie points for you. We’ve just quietly told Mum we didn’t get tickets so she’ll be suitably impressed when she gets a ticket for Christmas. Hope she isn’t reading this – if you are Mum SURPRISE!! Act surprised when you get it ok! Time to take stock again, another season is near – can you believe it? Longest Winter ever?!! It’s a real shame really as the wildflowers out my way took a while to come out because of it and that’s a huge attraction for all the travellers I meet at work. Having said that those few 40C days were enough to knock us out for the count. Then it was freezing – who can keep up? No wonder we’ve all been sick – did you get sick too? Hope you missed it! Here’s my take on Pip’s Taking Stock. Join in and tell me where it’s at for […]

Gilmore who!??

Of course you know which Gilmore’s I’m talking about…and it’s not Adam Sandler. Have you been getting into the Gilmore Girls? There’s soooo much excitement about it’s return and rightly so but how in the world did I miss this show?! I’ve only ever seen half an episode a few weeks ago. I was very impressed! I messaged my buddy Veggie Mama (Gilmore Girl guru) and she confirmed 7 series worth I need to catch up on – woh! The fact that I’ve missed the boat on this one baffles me as I like to keep up to date on all cool things on the box. Let me explain. My 20 year High School Reunion an old friend said “So Jo, do you still watch heaps of TV?” which at first I was like “Who me, I don’t watch that much!” but when I thought about it, yeah I kinda do. I get on all the crazy teen band wagons. I was obsessed with 90210. I would tape it on the VCR, for you young kids that’s what we did in the 80’s, without the ads and decorate the actual tape with pictures of the Brenda, Kelly, Dylan, the whole […]
