Something for the weekend – bring back the holiday vibe!

Now that holidays are so last month and routine has slipped back into our lives – sob! I have a sneaky plan to make us get that holiday feeling back… COCKTAILS!! Nothing sounds more indulging than sipping cocktails by the pool, but why not sip them in the comforts of your home too?! One could have one in a fancy mason glass in their own pool or even paddling pool – Wa la! So I thought I’d share a favourite recipe I know like the back of my hand. I learnt it many moons ago when I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar! DON’T YOU WANT ONE BABY?! Something for the Weekend!

YAY! It’s the weekend, and a long weekend at that! So to kick off something new I thought I share with you a tip or recipe of sorts each week to get you in the mood! And what better way to kick it off with, with a sexy salad! After all, this is such bbq weather, why not have a cheeky salad number up your sleeve so when the invite comes along you’ll impress the crowds and have your friends asking for more. This recipe was given to me on my first day at a new work place years ago. The girls insisted this recipe wasΒ the bomb!Β They were so right too! It’s a salad that rarely has left overs. It has a great dressing that you add just before serving, the photo above was pre-dressing stage – many a time I’ve forgotten to bring the dressing along but either way it still works.
